Office - Travel Company

Transforming a small office in a shared building in shropshire into an inspiring and cohesive workspace for a boutique travel company, was an absolute pleasure. The design had to seamlessly integrate four distinct areas: the stairwell/landing, main office area, meeting room, and kitchen.

The foundation of our design was a vibrant colour palette inspired by an artwork found on Etsy, depicting themes of adventure and travel. This palette, incorporating hues of sand, sky/sea, and vegetation, not only provides a relaxed and inviting atmosphere but also aligns perfectly with the company’s core focus. The predominant turquoise blue from the company’s logo and branding served as a key accent throughout the space, tying the design elements together.

In the stairwell and landing area, we utilized wood panelling wallpaper to evoke a sense of nature and adventure. The warm, textured wallpaper paired beautifully with the walls painted in Nutmeg Dust, creating a welcoming entrance that hints at the travel-inspired theme within. A support table adorned with lush plants and aromatic scents reminiscent of exotic holidays was strategically placed to set the tone as employees and visitors ascend to the main office area.

A striking room divider with a beach image was used to cleverly conceal a door, enhancing the overall aesthetic while maintaining a practical element. As a finishing touch, ‘Adventure begins’ word art was prominently displayed at the office entrance, greeting everyone with a motivating message.

Artwork/murals on the walls added interest and motivation to the space, inspiring the desire to travel and helping the customers to feel welcomed, comfortable and intrigued, an 'ask' from the owner of the company.
