RUSTIC INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN/DINER

About this Project

An extension resulted in a large kitchen dining room, and a desire for a modern rustic feel with industrial styling.

​

A combination of a bronze and porcelain white units with light worktops in a concrete and a marble (island) finish.  The lighter worktops were important to ensure light reflection in this otherwise darker space.  Parquet style tiles on the floor and industrial wall tiles provide a working conflict of materials to create the industrial touch.  Mismatched lighting and bar stools with black switches and plug sockets to complete the look.

In the dining room we added to the industrial touch with real slate wall tiles in bronze around the goal post of the bi-fold doors.

 

The result: a cohesive and calming space with comfy seats and plenty of 'greenery' to give it the desired indoor outdoor feel.
